The Company's Story

The Jay Turser Guitars company was purchased by American Music & Sound in 2006 and manufactures a complete line of instruments including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, amps and bass guitars. The allure of Jay Turser instruments is that they employ traditional guitar styles but present them in a contemporary way. These instruments are available in many different body styles and a wide array of spectacular finishes. Most importantly, Jay Turser has earned a reputation of being able to create these intriguing instruments at prices that are extremely affordable. Models of Jay Turser Bass Guitars

There are ten different models of Jay Turser bass guitars to choose from,

  • JTB-134 – The model is a unique semi-hollow body bass guitar with f-holes, a decorative bridge and a flamed finish. This bass has a long scale neck and comes with two humbucker pickups.
  • JTB-2B/VS – The JTB-2B/VS is a violin shaped bass guitar (think Paul McCartney) with a semi-hollow body, two humbucker pickups, a pearl pick guard and a rosewood fingerboard. This bass is also available in a left-handed model.
  • JTB-2B/GBK – Similar to the JTB-2B/VS, the model is also a violin shaped bass, but it has a black finish and comes with gold hardware.
  • JTB-40 – Inspired by the famous Fender P-Bass, the JTB-40 is a traditional style ½ scale solid body bass. It has a maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard and a split pickup, and it's available in a wide variety of colors.
  • JTB-400M – This bass is a full-scale version of the JTB-40 and also features a maple fingerboard.
  • JTB-400C – Exactly like the JTB-400M, the only thing different about the JTB400C is that it has a rosewood fingerboard.
  • JTB-401 – If you like things simple and retro, the JTB-401 might be the bass for you. This cool looking bass has one single coil pickup, a double cutaway body and a vintage pickguard.
  • JTB-402 – This bass owes its style to the Fender Jazz Bass. The JTB-402 has two single coil pickups and a rosewood fingerboard.
  • JTB-445 – If four strings are just not enough for you, check out the JTB-445. This five-string bass is sleek looking with brushed metallic hardware and sleek sounding with a single active humbucker pickup.
  • JTB-600A – This four-string bass has a contoured body, a flamed maple top and two active humbucker pickups. Gold hardware rounds out the classic look of the JTB-600A.
