-- Contributed by: jakeHi Micah,
Check out Learn to Read Guitar Notes. :)
-- Contributed by: Kelly RoperHi Micah - Thanks for stopping by.
-- Contributed by: Kevin CasperThanks! I am already pretty good at reading tabs, but I thought this was for reading actual notes. Nice anyways!
-- Contributed by: MicahCheck out this Guitar Note Chart here. See if that helps.
-- Contributed by: Kevin CasperThe guy is asking what notes on sheet music correspond to what fingerings and strings.
-- Contributed by: yoHi Nephets,
We also have a printable guitar chord chart that shows where to put your fingers for dozens of chords. Our slideshow Easy Guitar Chords also has pictures of people fingering chords as well as written directions for a number of simpler chords. Hope this info helps. :)

-- Contributed by: Kelly RoperHi Nephets - Try this article out http://guitar.lovetoknow.com/Guitar_Chord_Charts. Hopefully that helps you more. Thanks for visiting!
-- Contributed by: Kevin Casperalright this helps some, but how do I know what strings to pick, and what frets to hold to play different notes? I want to see that E=string x fret y so I know what to do
-- Contributed by: nephetsHi Vlad. The key tells you what notes are in the major scale for that key. For example, a song in the key of G would start on a G and would use the notes G-A-B-C-D-E-F#-G. You could play other types of scales (minor, for example) in the key of G as well, but the notes will all be in relation to the key signature of the song. Check out the link "circle of fifths" in this article for more information.
-- Contributed by: Kevin CasperThat's helpful. But I still don't understand how the key determines the scale. Is it just what scales the chords fit in or what?
-- Contributed by: VladHi Carlos. Thanks for your kind words. We're trying hard here to make this site something that is helpful to guitar players, and we're glad you like it!
